Wayfarer

Distance: approximately 8 miles

Time (with picnic): about 7 hours

Terrain: lane, then mainly dirt track which can be rough and/or muddy in places

Total climb: 430m (1430 feet)

This walk follows an old drovers' road over the Berwyns. We go only as far as the head of the pass and have our picnic there, in the heart of this wild landscape, where there is a wonderful sense of space and peace. Most of the climb is fairly gradual, but there are two steeper stretches.
